Summary: Respected biopharmaceutical firm needs a contract in-house procedures tech writer to augment and improve documentation about their product development and manufacturing operations.
Fully onsite, 40 hrs/week, Foster City (~3 miles from San Mateo CalTrain station)
Audience:
Staff operating and maintaining sophisticated hardware and software for drug development
Tasks:
In collaboration with Product Development, research and analyze product information that requires documentation. Using MS Word and Visio, write and maintain instructions and related content (see "Deliverables"). Also contribute to procedures related to FDA regulatory compliance.
Solo writer collaborating with small team of project managers and scientists working onsite

Required:
Proven ability to scope work, define project milestones, interact with diverse stakeholders, build consensus, and independently drive deliverables to completion
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable quality system standards
Excellent oral and written communication, research, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word
Shareable portfolio of clear procedures writing samples
Willingness and ability to work fully onsite, 9-5, in Foster City
Desired:
Experience writing or editing in the life sciences industry
Working knowledge of Visio (or similar) for diagramming
